Description
Wagan Tech AC Inverter 1500 Watt
Our AC Inverter 1500 Watt is high output, compact, and slim; hence the reason it is in our Slimline family of power inverters. We have dubbed this line “Slimline” as all of the inverters are high performance but as slim and compact as possible. Featuring 3 US standard AC outlets, Power and fault LED Lights, USB Power Ports, Power switch and thermal cooling fans, the AC Inverter 1500W is ideal for your high power needs!
Features
Taking cues from its big brother, the AC Inverter 1500 Watt is small in size, but offers huge performance. 1500 Watts of TrueRated power, 3 AC receptacles (wall power outlet) as you’d find in your home, 2 USB Power Ports, thermal cooling fans, and a slew of safeties built in, the AC Inverter 1500 Watt is exactly what you’ve been looking for!
Front Component Details
On the front of the AC Inverter 1500 Watt you will find 3 standard US 3-prong AC outlets, 2 USB Power Ports (5V, 3.0A shared), Red fault LED light, Green Power LED light, Cooling Vents, Power switch, and the front mounting flange.
Rear Component Details
The rear of the AC Inverter 1500 Watt offers: Black (Negative) threaded battery terminal, Red (Positive) threaded battery terminal, Neutral to ground bonding terminal (wing-nut), mounting flange, and the two thermal cooling fans.
Performance
Wagan Tech builds our inverters with high peak surges that allow up to 3x the continuous rating to support high surging appliances such as power tools, microwaves, air conditioners and refrigerators. Wagan Tech uses top quality components and reliable MOSFET transistors – the key factor in reliable inverter manufacturing.
TrueRated Power
TrueRated Power is Wagan Tech’s coined term for truth in advertising and performance. While actual output wattage of competitor’s inverters varies greatly, Wagan Tech inverters help consumers to understand and trust that the number printed on the inverter is the actual output of the device.
Nearly all of Wagan Tech’s Inverters feature TrueRated Power. Simply put, our inverters are tested at full load and will sustain that continuous load for 24 hours at the wattage printed on the inverter. For example, our Elite 400 Watt Pro Inverter will run for 24 hours straight with a 400 Watt load. Our competitors claim “continuous wattage” when in fact most are only rated at 20 minutes of “continuous” wattage. After 20 minutes, the competitor’s output wattage will drop down by as much as 25% of their claimed wattage (in a 400 watt inverter, that can be a 100 watt loss!).
The Right Output for your Needs
Finding an Inverter that can satisfy your power needs may seem like a daunting task, but it really isn’t. Take a look at this basic chart to see what the requirements of an appliance is, and compare it to the Inverter we suggest you use to power that appliance (the appliances listed are estimated averages, please consult your appliance manufacturer for actual power requirements).
1500 Watt Applications
In your vehicle, boat, motorcycle, RV, truck, Camper, tail-gating, camping, kid’s soccer games, or anywhere you need to turn DC (battery) power into AC (household) power is where the AC Inverter 1500W will shine! 1500 continuous watts means that you can run your appliance without worry of the AC Inverter 1500W letting you down like lesser inverters. Blender, TV, gaming systems, refrigerator, microwave, computer, cooking appliances, and other household electronics are all able to be powered!*
Wagan Tech 1500 Watt Inverter - front bladed 2 What It Does
If you are apprehensive of using an inverter, don’t be! Inverters simply convert DC current to AC current; in simple terms, it allows you to use your home (AC) appliances using your vehicle’s (DC) electricity. Want to use your blender, box fan, microwave*, TV*, radio, computer*, or just charge your devices while camping or tail-gating? An AC Inverter will allow you to do just that!
Connecting an inverter is equally as easy; usually it is just two color-coded wires screwed on to your vehicle's battery. That's it!
